K-pop Rumors and Fan Accounts

I've been reading tonnes of these so called accounts from friend's stylists and staff members and whatnot. I usually ignore them and dismiss these claims because they are truly unreliable. Being a history student, teachers teach us to always question where sources of information come from to no end (and it really is annoying). Namely the time, author, the bias and how/where it was published. This gossip published on forums and blogs by unknown users is already pushing it's validity.

Despite knowing these facts I can't help but just be a little bit curious. I feel like these claims do have some truth in them but then again a lot of it is second hand biased information. I do believe that the brutality of the entertainment business isn't too exaggerated. I do remember reading a fan account about my bias being suicidal and taking anti-depressants and sounded like bullshit. Turned out it was written by a malicious saesang who came out and "apologised".

We do know for a fact that practically every popular act is being over worked. Evidence like the JYJ slavery contract lawsuit and suicides from top Korean celebrities do back this up.

Anyway I'll give you an example of what I read from forxreal on live journal. He deletes all his posts but if you subscribe via google reader you can read all his posts. I won't say it's 100% legit but I feel like he couldn't have made everything up unless he had an overactive imagination.

Agencies need to stop trying to persuade the public that their idol are not gay by trying to put them on WGM. If the broadcasting company wants a certain person, but you try to bait and switch for the painfully gay one... Yeah that doesn't work. It didn't work for the one in the past, and it won't work for anyone in the future. Of course many agencies use shows to promote a certain image or dispel an image. But there are some idols that are so painfully gay that they could "accidentally" get their photos taken of them having sex with a female or dating a female, and even with such "proof" people are still going to think/assume that person is gay. There's nothing you can do about obvious gayness. It's really really unfortunate that their sexuality cannot be accepted but has to be hidden and then proved in one way or another....

What I'm trying to say is take any rumor as grain of salt and don't believe every rumor you hear.
